THE LAUNCH SIX · NEWEST WORK FIRST
- Why our robot asks permission The freeze you feel when a black box acts without you — and why that feeling is the whole reason boop exists.
- We put the wiring diagram on the website Transparency as the aesthetic. The teardown lives on the marketing page, not buried in a datasheet — and you can download the wire.
- The button that takes a jelly switch The cheapest part on the say-so's board, and the biggest door it opens. A standard assistive switch approves the same way a head-boop does.
- A Tamagotchi that answers your email The little-someone bet: warm enough to care about, capable enough to do real work. Why a molecule, not a robot, not a chat window.
- Closed eyes, cut wire “The mic is off” is usually software you have to trust. We made it physical: eyelid shutter → switch → mic power rail.
- Butter, not black Every AI product is black, blue, or violet. We went warm on purpose — and the warmth is a promise, not a paint job.
HOW THE SHELF IS SORTED
Four kinds of note.
- build notes
- how the thing is actually made — the boards, the wire, the parts.
- it-asks-first
- the essays. Why consent is the product, not a setting.
- the humans
- the little-someone bet, the colour, the people boop is for.
- packs
- one boop, one job — the cast and what each one is allowed to touch.
Every note ends the same way — the wordmark, and “booped.” with its full stop.
